A boring raining Wednesday

Tim Hortons @ Hwy 48 x Major Mackenzie
Why do people come to Tims?

You will see friends and families here. A place to get something to eat fast, a place to spend an hour or two to talk about jobs, kids, places to eat or pets. A place to fill up the gaps between appointments. Different locations have different demographies. Sitting here you will see different stories coming and going. People complaining the taste of coffee cannot resist its convenience. And "Double-double" is a well-known Canadian slang. It has been a part of Canadian culture.

This was a boring, raining Wednesday afternoon, watching the rain falling down outside is pretty enjoying.

Duet

Acrylic on Canvas - 18" x 24"
Watercolour on Paper
2" x 3"
The left one was a miniature painting I did it in watercolour. It is only 2" x 3". There were lots of things in the location including fences and other cars. I particularly liked the car parked at the corner beside the house, so I simply eliminated other objects and only painted the house and the car.

A couple of days ago, I found a canvas with the texture made by drywall compound. So I decided to paint it again in acrylic.

Egg Tempera on Panels; one is in 4” x 4” and another is 18” x 18”.
My friend has a lovely bossy cat. He has his own characters and only my friend knows exactly what he wants. No one can touch him but my friend! I love him so much too. He has different kinds of facial expressions. Want to know how to paint this? Visit: http://perrychow.net/impressionoflife.html

Daisies

I was tagged on the FB by my brother and he said, "Paint these for me, Perry Chow!" So I did it. This is the first one I did. Love the pattern around the flower.

This one is more close to the original image. I still love to shift the colours.

Farewell Winter
11" x 14" - Watercolour on Paper
But..ummm.. The painting is not quite the same as the photograph. Love the wet-on-wet effect.
